The Chain Achievement Guide:

Requirements: The Chain
* Reach a Cinder sum streak of 32 or higher.
-=How to Get the Chain=-
* Fully upgrade all Blessings.
* Unlock Doppelganger.
* Beat death until Doppelganger copies Cleric
(Ability: Recover 10 hearts when you enter a new floor).
* Options -> Gameplay -> Lock Doppelganger Copy -> On.
* Turn on 4 Cinders (Most likely the 4 in the first row).
* Equip “Amethyst Ring” as a gift.
* Start a run.
* Most likely you want to keep the ‘Cleric Robe’ equipped as the
body armor.
* Avoid two handed weapons, at least early in the run, to keep the
“Talisman” active for an extra heart.
* Prioritize getting as many Hearts as possible (ex: Always get heart
containers, “Vitality” trait is good, ‘No Pain No Gain’ is good too).
* Beer is a good late game investment if you have extra Gold.
* Beat Death.
* Repeat this 8 times in a row.
How to Easily Get Thunderstruck Achievement:

How to defeat Death under 25 minutes the easiest way.
* Pick Warrior.
* Play agressive right from the start, position yourself to hit
multiple enemies.
* Top priority rooms = Str, High dps weapon (range doesn’t matter as
you will be in your enemies face most of the time anyway), Hearts,
gold and tavern to get tippsy once you got enough hearts.
* Top perks – Boozer and Constitution basically makes this achievement
trivial. Except for those you can go for any damage boosting peks:
Close Combat, Adrenaline, Beef etc.
* If you like to think longer on your eq choices you can pause the game
to stop the timer. With swift decision making you can easily do it
under 20 minutes.
By the time you reach Death on average run you should have at least 8
hearts and about 200% dmg boost from your perks and tippsy. Even with
semi-decent weapon that should be way more than enough to easily destroy
death.
Tips and Tricks:
----------------
* If you haven’t, try runs where you HARD focus on two stats – STR/DEX/INT.
The third stat can be boosted every now and then of course.
* My runs went a lot better when I gave up on solo stat builds or a
“balanced” build.
* The traits and keywords are numerous but run defining! These new status
effects are completely worth building around.
* The game will push helpful drops/traits on you based on your current setup.
So, if you want a fire build but have a weak fire wand. Keep it for when
the game turns it into an A or S- tier weapon for you.
* Auras are a good crutch if you just want to stop thinking. They scale off
level for a majority of their effects and there’s plenty of items that
interact with them.
* I’d say you need at least four or five pieces of meat to have a comfortable
amount of str to equip anything. Or you can be a madman and try and roll the
trait that reverses encumbrance penalties.
* And for the love of god, take the soul scarf if not having enough health is
an issue. Take every room that refills flasks and I can nearly guarantee
you, you will have 15+ hearts by the end of a run.
+7 Weapon Achievement Tips:
---------------------------
* I did super hero with super rich.
* Buy gun, upgrade to 3, illegal gun parts, super illegal gun parts, reroll
enchant in tavern until you get ‘twinkling’, then you need 1pt from
somewhere else.
* Note: there is legendary armor that give +2, epic gloves that give +2 to
2-hand weapons, kissing the frog event gives +1 charm, some accessory
gives +1.
* Mystic doesn’t need to find an item as twinkling gives +2 for them, they
can also use something other than gun if you find a +weapon level item.
* Note: You do need a lot of $ to re-roll enchants for twinkling, take 20g
enchant & +20% legendary meta-progress, then farm gold.
* It is theoretically possible to get to +13 or +16 or something.
Close Combat Tips:
------------------
The 1st strat is to tank the heck out of it. Like, a Paladin can afford to
take a bunch of hits consistently if they have armor/block that is regenerating
constantly, especially if they buy armor repair items at the tavern or start
with the refilling armor repair gift. Priests literally have a free revive
every floor, which only does anything if you’re letting yourself die, so take
advantage of it and play riskier. This is why there’s gear like a ring with +3
armor that weighs 30, a strength melee character can stack huge amounts of
armor/block/HP/revives/death defy/ect and then just tank hits and let their
big damage win.
The 2nd strat is to use dodges. If you get in, attack, and get out, you don’t
take damage. Depending on how many dodges you stack up you can use them as an
emergency get out card, or use them both to get close and then to get out. For
this strategy you typically want bonus invincibility on dodges if you can get
it, or at least lots of dodges.
The 3rd strat is to just get OP. If you kill boss phases in 3 melee hits, you
won’t be dying to them.
There are a bunch of other options of varying usage, like abilities that let
all bow damage count as close ranged damage, if you just want to use the
synergy items for close ranged without actually getting in close.
All bosses have predictable patterns. For instance, Amon’s pentagram attack
is by far the easiest to dodge by being inside the central pentagon practically
hugging him, to say nothing of the gaps between attacks where everything from
Death onwards just stands in the center of the room bantering for a full second
or more.
