How to Skip the Launcher:
-------------------------
This works on ALL games with launchers, unless the launcher is used
for authentication
* Navigate to your SOSE2 Folder
* Go to your Steam Library,
* Right-click SoSE2, select Manage > and then Browse local files
* Copy the EXE Path
* You should see the folder containing the Sins2.exe
* Select Sins2.exe, then shift + right-click on it. This opens the
context menu with extra options.
* Select Copy as Path, this copies the direct path to the file enclosed
in speechmarks.
* Set your Launch Options
* Return to your Steam Library and right-click SoSE2, select
PropertiesIn Launch Options, paste the path we copied from before.
* Do not delete the speech marks
* Finally, add a space and append %command%.
* You’re done!
* Press play and you’ll go straight to the game.
* If you want to undo this, simply remove the launch option and it’ll
open the launcher as before.

-=Opening=-
Homeworld:
- Upgrade mining to max
- Add +3 Military research planet item
- Build 1 Civilian lab, 1 Capital Ship factory and 1 Frigate/Cruiser factory
Civilian Research:
- Surface mining upgrade
- Colonize for Ice/Volcano/Primordial
- Influence point increase
Military Research:
- Fleet supply
- Increase HP/Armor/Regen/Speed
Ships:
- Make 2nd Capital Ship (e.g. Skirantra Carrier) and colonize on 2 different
directions: put Colonize ship item on the 2nd Capital Ship if available
- Make some corvettes (Defensors) to support the Capital Ships
Note:
- If you want more flexibility for 2nd Capital Ship, build a Military lab instead
of the planet item. However this will make the opening a bit slower.
-=Early Game / Mid Game=-
Colonize/Expand:
- Colonize in 2 directions with your 2 Capital Ships
- It is usually better to initially just kill the siege ship, colonize and move on
to the next planet. You can already upgrade the planet for income, survey to find
exotic, add planet items for tech. Then later if you want to build orbital structures,
send your 3rd/4th Capital Ship there to clear other ships and gain experience
- On the frontline planets, clear them and build factories and defenses
Economy:
- Start with upgrading surface mining
- Later build extractors
- Balance the economy with the Crystal/Metal planet item
- Try to win auctions: auctions can provide great boost for the economy and Vasari
Alliance has great advantage here
Civilian Technology:
- Influence technology
- Mining technology
- Planet colonization/upgrade technology
- Phase jump detection
Military Technology:
- Fleet supply
- HP/Armor/Regen tech/items
Phase Resonance:
- Focus on mobility as it’s the most useful
- Research longer duration
Minor faction items: some early useful ones are colonizing, gauss and boarding crew.
Fleet:
- Vs Vasari: Capital Ships + Corvettes (Defensors)
- Vs TEC/Advent: Capital Ships + Light Frigates + Missile Frigates
- In all cases, later upgrade to Capital Ships + Heavy Cruisers + some Fabricators
(for Debris Reclamation and Retrofit)
- Capital Ships: a good combination is Jarrasul + Skirantra + multiple Kortuls/Vulkoras
+ Antorak
- Capital Ship Items: self-repairing armor, weapon upgrades and antimatter recharger
Late Game
Fleet:
- Titan + Capital Ships + Heavy Cruisers + some Fabricators
Technology:
- Build Phase Gates for mobility
