How to Fish Properly:
---------------------
* Equip Rod by putting into hotbar.
* Unholster Rod by pressing hotbar key. (You slow down
when rod is unholstered), Pres H to Holster.
* Press R to select bait. True it doesn' matter, but the
rubber "Bait" seems to says what it does: catch carnivorous
(which are mostly big fish) at higher chance. Otherwise any
bait works(esp. if Universal bait)
* Hold down left-click. Aim anywhere, green spot tells you. If
you know the previous location of your desired fish, aim it
somewhere close to that area. Release to cast.
* Wait for bite, Left click to start reeling it.
* Check Bottom right. You have two bars: One Top (Escaped, Hooked),
One Bottom (Break, Slack).
Keep pressing down the left click will reel the fish in and adds to
op bar, but will bring your bottom bar down. Do not let either your
bars go 0 or you will lose the fish. You can recover your bottom bar
by letting go of the reeling, but know that that'd decrease your top
bar and let the fish escape.
Also, moving your mouse opposite to the direction of the fish's movement
helps in increasing top bar while reeling. When top bar is full,
congrats, you got the fish. You can either Keep the catch or release.
Gaining and Losing Weight:
--------------------------
This is about character weight in the game and how to manage it.
The game has three weight options:
* Underweight (less than 65kg): Can carry 80kg, faster melee attacks,
less melee damage, more stamina.
* Moderate (65kg to 85kg): Can carry 90kg, less chest damage, faster
stamina recovery.
* Overweight (more than 85kg): Can carry 100kg, slower melee attacks,
more melee damage, slower rolling, better weapon control.
You can choose your weight when making your character. Your weight can
change as you play. Eating fatty foods makes you gain weight. Healthy
foods keep your weight the same. Eating when not very hungry makes you
gain weight faster. It's best to eat when your hunger bar is in the middle.
Doing activities that use stamina without eating enough makes you lose
weight.
The game doesn't tell you all this information. It would be helpful if
it showed how many calories are in each food, like in Project Zomboid.
But if you just eat regularly, you shouldn't have many problems.
The Extradimensional Cat in the game has a hidden effect. It's supposed
to help you sleep better, but it actually makes your character gain
weight. When you sleep with the cat at your base, you get a buff called
"Cat Snooze". This buff says it restores health, but it also makes you
gain 1 kg over time. The game doesn't tell you about this weight gain
anywhere.
To lose weight in the game:
* Eat spoiled food one at a time. It gives you food and water, but
lowers your sanity.
* Eating spoiled food can give you "Gastric Discomfort". When this
gets to medium level, you start losing weight.
* Don't let your sanity get too low. Rest in bed to recover it between
eating spoiled food.
* Keep the "Gastric Discomfort" at medium level. If it gets severe, you
need to use antibiotics to cure it.
* Some players say doing push-ups can help lose weight too, but I haven't
tested this.
-=TLDR=-
To sum up:
* To gain weight: Sleep with the Extradimensional Cat at your base.
* To lose weight: Eat spoiled food to get medium "Gastric Discomfort".
