Died to a Plant Achievement Guide:
----------------------------------
Achievements in this game and only a few other games I have played
don’t activate upon actively playing the game.
To get your achievement awarded, you don’t even need to exit the game,
at the top right where you can find the Force Save Button, then to the
right of that, your “File/Character Name with a down arrow”, click that
and select Select Character, this will take you back to the character
select screen aka all your various different saves if you have any others,
then simply selecting the file/character that died to the plant, load it
and your achievement should be awarded.
Of course though, you’ll also need to make sure you’re playing on Standard
Mode, as that’s specifically what the achievement says in the achievement
list, that and I doubly made sure to check a Hardcore Character and wasn’t
awarded the achievement by dying to the plant, even though I already knew
it said Standard, just making sure.
Most people assume you need to exit the game entirely then load it back up,
which is not the case, but you can if you want, all works the same, just
character select would be much faster of course.
I suppose I should mention, just in case they plan on adding more achievements
later, they have always said that achievements would be Retroactive, meaning
you’ll be awarded them if you’ve already achieved them before the update was
life and you had progress towards them already complete.
How to Get Rich:
----------------
Base game, in order of easiness to set up:
* Fishing whales (4M an hour max)
* Thieving knights with Monkey syngergy (8M an hour max)
* Agility (5M an hour max)
* Cutting logs and selling birds’ nests (8M an hour max)
* There are ones with much more money per hour, but they have zonkers
requirements for the optimal rate.
There’s also growing Carrion Trees, but that’s 120 Farming….still, it’s very
easy to set up and the logs sell for a LOT of money.
You can get Raven’s Nests from any tree from Spruce onwards, which will give
you the Carrion Tree Seeds.
Tips to Beat Birthday Mode:
---------------------------
Melee only, going for Ranged or Magic will be even more tedious, since you
have no skills to create such items, working to kill enemies for ammo & runes
entirely will already be a time consuming thing, on top of the RNG drop chances
Castle of Kings is usually the first place to start, once you get enough
combat stats to deal with the Steel Knight which drops Steel Weapons & Armor
and has a higher drop rate chance to obtain than any of the other Knights,
Black Knights are really rare but possible, Mithril and up will vary
Then don’t forget about Slayer, your starting Slayer level will allow you to
kill the Mummy in Penumbra Slayer Area, which you can opt to use the “Silver
Topaz (Attack) or Silver Ruby (Strength) Necklaces which would be more bonus
than the Strength amulet if you didn’t know, but I opt for the Topaz for the
accuracy to hit, then the Gold Emerald Ring to help get your combat stats up
faster
As you reach Level 30 Slayer, you can fight the Valkyrie in the Slayer Area
“Holy Isles”, which will opt to allow you to get all the Base Game Rune Weapons,
including the Scimitar & the Rune 2H Sword for Strength Training
* Best Weapon to Use – Need 40 Attack
The Elerine Spear which will help immensely is located at the Elerine
Battlegrounds and from the enemy named Elerine Warrior the best benefit is
when it hits, your attack interval will be decreased by a percentage, stacking
up to 5 times, making you attack faster each successful hit on the enemy, with
1 HP of course it’s a weapon that will help defeat all the enemies faster and
still maintaining decent damage, of course leveling up your Strength will also
help eventually just don’t forget to use a Scimitar or Rune 2h.
How to Play the Same Character on Two Devices?:
-----------------------------------------------
* Yes, you can get a Playfab account and use the Cloud Save function to upload
your character on one and download it on the other.
* Another option is you can export your character and save the string in a text
document.
* Copy / pasting that string will allow you to import that save so you transfer
the text file / string between computers.
Advice on Thieving:
-------------------
With thieving you really want to pick a target and stick with it to level
mastery and eventually get to 99 for that +75. If youre able to get to the
runic ruins you can farm the thief for a bit as he drops +50 stealth and -0.1s
gloves. Astrology and agility also have boosts to thieving. Herblore also has
a really good potion even at tier 3.
Anything that gives mastery is a huge plus. The leprechaun and owl synergy is
amazing however it requires a ton of astrology and summoning levels so its not
super needed. The ring of mastery is also good but again it usually takes a
lot of fishing.
On top of being good for that npc the 10, 25, and 95 mastery checkpoints help
out a ton as welland are pretty much required at the higher npcs. Levels will
come in time but after you get your first bits of gear you really want to find
an npc and stick to them.
My recommended order would be to farm the highest xp npc until you get to the
bandit hideout and goblin chief (it may be worth spending a bit on the gloves
if you dont have the ones from thieving to make this go faster).
The goblin chief grants a head that is best for leveling and the bandit hideout
has an area drop cape that is gonna be your go to until you get the skillcape,
so farm a single npc there until you get that.
Once you have those two pieces depending on your skill farm the highest xp/hr
npc (which could be either the newest one or the highest mastery one depending
on your success chance vs the xp they give) until you get to Bob the farmer.
Bob is the first npc you want to get to 99. Id spend all your mastery point
to level him as high as hell go and then farm him until you get to the acolyte,
which takes a while.
Bob drops almost every seed youll need for leveling farming, strawberry seeds
which you can use to make thieving potions, and bags which make helpful
consumables. When farming him you should also get the sneakers if you havnt
already which helps stealth quite a bit.
The acolyte is my recommended for the next npc to farm at 99 as they drop the
book of scholars which helps leveling any skill a ton. From there just get to
level 99 for the very nice skill cape. To farm any higher it is almost required
you have astrology, agility, and herblore buffs.
Farm the explorer as he will eventually drop a grappling hook and pants for
thieving if you have the expansion. Thats what I found to be the best path to
get all the gear and level for thieving.
Also its important to note DR affects the hits from thieving so just equip
your highest dr gear in each slot that dosnt have thieving gear on. Also the
dr prayers do work and dont consume any points.
