King of Puppets Boss Fight:
---------------------------
I leaned into a build that focuses on perfect parry + fatal strikes.
It makes really short work of him, you just gotta learn his moveset
and you can do first phase without using any estus.
Also the stun baton hilt is still the best I have found in the game.
It has a nice quick charged heavy attack that you can get a hit in
between most boss attacks.
It has a fable art that lets you hit real hard, whenever I fatal attack
them I always do a charged heavy attack with the fable art buff and it
hits them like a truck. Only used charged heavy attack and fatal attacks
for King of puppets and he went down quickly. Second phase I felt it was
better to stay aggressive and not let him get moves in.
If you are really struggling you could always use the spectre, although
I would only reccomend this if you have a hard time. It is better to just
learn the moveset of the boss, a spectre is going to deny you the
opportunity for perfect parries and you will learn slower.
Tips which New Players Must Know:
---------------------------------
If you are starting to play this game, better to read following tips for
your first round:
* Parry in this game is much more important than dodge.
* For the first weapon don’t think too much, just choose greatsword because
the fable arts of handle give you perfect auto parry during next 1 sec
and high damage reduction while guarding will also cover your miss of
parry.
* Before you meet the first boss of prologue you can buy all those 3
original weapons from merchant, that means you will get 2 greatsword
handles for assembling weapons.
* Blade changes attack and defense abilities, the motions included charge
attacks are depends on handles
* Don’t trust too much what you would be told in this game, even the tutorial
and guide lies if you don’t notice.
* You would be told that you “can” make the enemy staggered with a charge
attack or with fable arts while the white line appears. the thing is, it
is really just “can”, you need to do 2 things to let it work:
* Reach the hidden value of stagger by using charge attack or fable arts
after white line appears;
* If the charge attack you used has more than 1 hit, only the final hit
can trigger stagger. (*even if you have given enough stagger damage)
* And also evade only works when you release the button during limited
commend time, so the best way is press the button twice quickly for
each dodge.
* If you feel it is hard to perform a perfect parry, turn your audio off.
* It works for this game because it was designed to having a short weird
delay between SE and Motions. That is the trick which dev team used to
make people miss counting the right timing for parry in this game.
Tips to Use Heavy Weapons:
--------------------------
Heavy weapons stagger alot and fable art in this game cost no stamina and
recharges stamina during fable art, so attack – block – attack – block –
attack – fable art should make enemies staggerable then charge heavy probably.
I use bone-cutting sawblade + exploding pickaxe handle. It’s medium slow
weapon, but the reach is far. Early on I used normal str starting weapon
because I was getting used to parrying and handle on that weapon gives you
auto parry fable art.
If the weapon you used is too slow, set Aegis to your left arm and upgrade
it to rank 1 to get “Guard Attack” ability, that is a special arm for heavy
blunt weapons.
The attack speed of your heavy blunt weapon will be much faster than you can
expect during guard attack, besides you are able to block the attack from enemy
at the same time just like a super armor.
One more thing, there is no true str or dex build in this game, it was a lie
in tutorial.
The most important state is capacity, the amulets give more increase of damage
than what you can get from str or dex, however they are very heavy.

Fallen Archbishop Andreus Boss Tips:
------------------------------------
The biggest tip I can give you for phase 2: Do not fight the tail or whatever
it is. It’s obnoxious, irritating and it moves too much.
Go to his butt and you fight the first boss again, but beware, his attacks
have different delays now. But in general it’s more of the same boss.
Dodging is also pretty viable in this fight, as he doesn’t have too many sweep
attacks.
The two bots behind the bonfire at the entrance to the factory where you get
the fire dagger drop saw blades, pipes, thermite, and throwing cells.
How to Defeat Laxasia Boss:
---------------------------
* Perfect guard all lightning bolts, they deal damage to her instead of you.
* Change your P organs and levels just for this one signle boss fight so you
can beat it. redistributing your strenght accordingly to current situation
is a tactic.
* Dont forget to change your gear to increase resistance your the bosses attacks,
including defence against slash damage.
* Check on the internet if you havent missed some defence parts from venigni
collection boxes.
* Use aegis shield, helps a lot.
* Use special grinder to reduce tthe damage you take while guarding by 50%
(it’s the yellow special grinder)… or use the purple one to perfect guard
all attacks for a short while.
* Use p organ to have 2 uses of special grinder, and another to increase their
duration.
* Use the P organ the speed up the cube’s use animation so you can use it
effectively in battle.
* Use the specter.
* Use the cube’s wishtones that make specter stronger, draw attention from
the boss or any that you prefer.
* Abuse a glitch exploit. equip Aegis shield arm. In fight: Hold legion arm
button, spam perfect guard button. The glitch is: all attacks are perfect
guarded for as long as aegis shield is active and perfect guard button is
being clicked fast enough.
I personally recommend talents to take less damage while dodging, and all of
the talents that make you stronger when you’re discharged. That way when you
run out of heals, the fight doesnt end.
It begins. (And prefer ammount of health restored by single cell, instead of
increased number of cells).
Useful Tips for Parry System:
-----------------------------
The mechanism is slightly different from titles like Elden Ring, DS or Sekiro.
Just some personal tips:
* Look at the arm, not the weapon: do not aim for the moment when the weapon
will hit you. Rather press the block button when the arm/leg/tentacles/head
starts moving towards you. Be aware though, most swings are delayed or, they
swing the weapon twice over their head before deciding to hit you. So, you
gotta learn the attacks.
* For some attacks, it’s better to dodge: a classic example is those corpses
running at you, pausing for a sec, and then slashing you. The slash is so fast,
that there is barely enough time to react to parry it. Unless you get the timing
down. That won’t be the case for most other attacks. You can clearly see it
coming and react.
* Press and hold the block button, then tap for consecutive attacks: unlike in
Sekiro, where you used to tap the block button at the correct time, here you
have to press and hold it for like 0.5 seconds. If there are follow up attacks
coming, you can let go and press it back again. That is, whereas in Sekiro, you
would have the button unpressed and then “tap and release” back to back to parry
multiple attacks, here, you hold the block button down and “release and press”
back to back.
* Don’t attempt to chain dodge: While in other fromsoft titles, you can kinda
dodge infinitely and chain together dodges, here, you can dodge at most twice
(with the link dodge p-organ) update. This is to prevent panic rolling that we
are so used to. If you hit dodge twice in quick succession, you have to wait
for the second animation to finish completely before you can act. So be careful
of attempting to panic roll. Other than that, the window for dodging is very
similar to that of parrying. Look for the arm, not the weapon.
* Don’t always dodge towards the enemy: Dodging consumes quite a lot of stamina
in this game. While in Elden Ring and DS games you are encouraged to roll into
an oncoming attack, it does not work out so well in lies of p. That is because,
the enemy has a combo of attacks, and if you dodge twice towards the enemy, you
are stuck in animation for like a whole second (costing you half of your HP).
Don’t use dodge to land hits on the enemy (unless you know that was the last
attack in their combo). Rather dodge back or left-right to avoid attacks.
Some closing remarks. Lies of P is a game where none of the three mechanisms
(dodging, blocking and parrying) are self-sufficient. Rather, you have to use
all three of them to make the game easy. In Elden Ring, I used to completely
rely on dodge alone. But that’s not something you can do here. All three
mechanisms have to be used at the correct time. Don’t feel forced to parry
every single attack perfectly. It’s better to just run away from certain
combos. Similarly, in some cases, it is actually better to roll towards the
enemy, rather than away from it. The trick is to figure out when to use what.
