Get the Bay Leaves early:
-------------------------
Instead of following any of the directions or talking to the 
merchants, go as far right as you can when you start the game. 

At the first screen of the camp (where the Romans will not let 
you pass without the potion). Use F1 to distract the Roman guard. 

As soon as he runs away, quickly jump (using the enter key) to 
the right and you will jump to the next screen before another 
guard comes out to stop you. You can then proceed to the last 
screen and enter the tent. 

After you get kicked out, enter it a second time and it will be 
unoccupied. You can then get the Bay Leaves and go all the way 
back to Getafix on the far left of the map and use them with 
the mushrooms and berries to beat the game without gathering 
any of the other items or performing any tasks.
