Disable Startup Title Screens:
------------------------------
If you're starting the game for the umpteenth time you may now already know
by heart the title screens. Skip straight past them by manually changing one
of the game files.
Change the Filename
In your Steam folder find this directory:
~steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\Native\Videos
Within it is a file called TWLogo_and_Partners.ivf
Rename this file (e.g. to TWLogo_and_Partners.ivf.noplay)
No more titles.
Custom Colors For Banners:
--------------------------
Written by Velken Iakov
Easy steps on how to set up custom colors for your banner!
-=How To=-
1-Go to "...\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\Native\ModuleData"
2-Open banner_icons.xml with something like notepad++
3-Get the HEX value of the color you want (this example, purple, 593e85)
4-lines 510 to 519 are the options you get in game, choose one, delete the part
after the ff and replace with your HEX value, for example, changing the
background from 0xff2C4D86 to 0xff593e85 makes the background purple
5-Profit!
How to Make Gold (Fast Method):
-------------------------------
Written by Pho R. Skinne
This guide consist of the answer on how to make gold fast question.
* Ride from city to city.
* Participating in every tournament you come across.
* Then sell the gear you win for major profit.
* You can sell some gear for 5000 gold easily.
Another tip is to run around catching looters and bandits and sell them as prisoners
at local towns. If you take over a hideout and it has 15+ people you will get about
2-4k plus any gear so 5k+ each time.
The Spy Party Quest Guide:
--------------------------
Written by JackalTaco
I thought I would make a quick guide of this quest to help people as I found this
quest confusing as hell! I hope it helps guys and have fun with the new game,
cause I sure am!
After you have accepted the quest and headed to the city in which the quest tells you
to go to, you wanna choose to walk around the city
(don't pick fight in the area which I done at first).
SAVE the game before entering the city.
-=Once in the city here's what you wanna do=-
* Ask around the peasants and civilians to get clues (don't worry about the ones
that say he might escape because he wont).
* Once you get 3 clues (beard, hair and no scars) here's when it gets confusing,
one of the clues are false...
* There are 4 contenders in the city (at locations such as clearings, waterfront,
back alleys, etc.) they are usually hanging about with thugs - ONE of them is the
spy - so there are two ways you can do this.
* SAVE the game and kill each one, if it's the wrong one then load the save and do
this till you kill the right one (this is what I done)
Or...
Find out which clue is false by the way the peasant or civilian says it (i.e if
they don't sound so sure about what they are telling you then it's probably false)
Anyways I hope this helped with the quest and have fun playing!
-=How to Sell the Prisoners=-
In order to trade the prisoners, the first step is to find a really large town.
Normal towns do not have a Tavern in them, and that is where you trade the prisoners.
So find a really large town, and then select the Tavern District. Instead of visiting
it, select the option of ‘Ransom your Prisoners’. This will show all of your prisoners
with their trade amount listed in brackets.
While trading the prisoners, you should keep an eye for strong battle-hardened
prisoners. Such prisoners can be an asset for your next option with prisoners –
recruiting prisoners.
How to Capture a Castle:
------------------------
Today I will show you the easiest way to attack and conquer a castle!
No special equipment is required for laying siege!
* The easiest way.
* Order your army to wait!
* Use the ladders or siege towers.
* Jump over the wall quickly... Don't let the guards kill you!
* Open the castle gates!
* Give the army the order to charge the castle!
Your army will take the easiest route and attack the enemy from behind,
a clear advantage for you!
How to Declare War and Make Peace:
----------------------------------
Written by purpleR
Right now if you have your kingdom/empire established you can't declare war or make
peace with anyone because the button is greyed out but I have found a way to declare
war and make peace with whomever you want.
-=How to Do It=-
First of all you have to download and install the developer console mod from here.
Then open the game and don't forget to tick the mod in the launcher and load into
your save.
After you load into your save open the console (press CTRL and ~ tilde) and type:
config.cheat_mode 1
This allows us to input the commands that actually let us declare war or make peace,
ok so after you've done all the things I listed you need to input these commands.
To declare war type this: campaign.declare_war Faction1 Faction2 for example:
campaign.declare_war EmpireofCalradia Sturgia
To make peace type this: campaign.declare_peace Faction1 Faction2 for example:
campaign.declare_peace WesternEmpire Aserai
You can obviously change which countries you want to declare war or make peace.
Quick Tips to Easily Win Tournaments:
-------------------------------------
Written by tomasz.magierowski
A few short tips that can make winning tournaments much easier.
-=Quick Tips=-
* In 1v1v1v1 fights you can maneuver around so that your enemies fight each other
before fighting you. When the enemies are fighting, you can hit them evenly so
that you have an easy fight once one of them wins. If the enemies fighting are
of different threat (say one is a cataphract and the other an archer without
armor) than attack the more armored one.
* It's best to eliminate "heavy" troops and lords first. Lords are by far the most
dangerous, as they have quite OP armor and are fast with their sword.
* In large team battles (like 4v4v4v4) it is prudent to see which teams are most
dangerous and (works best if you spawn as a horseman) pick off soldiers to keep
other teams weaker than yours.
* When fighting heavily armored opponents, it is better to use attacks aimed at
the head as they cause by far the most damage. You can also notice that side
attacks can "bounce" off enemies armor dealing only a few points of damage and
not stopping an enemies attack (which can yield more). This is very realistic
but it means you have to watch out how you attack as even an attack dealing
damage can cause more damage to you than your enemy.
How to Maximize Your Trading Profits:
-------------------------------------
Follow these tips to maximize your trading profits:
* When selling an item in Mount and Blade 2, it will not tell you at what price
you bought the item yourself. So, for your ease, when buying items, note down
the price and location of the items so that while selling, you’ll know what
profit you are making.
* After battles, in loot try to keep horses of the enemies and then sell them
later on.
* Keep a lookout for villagers traveling to town to sell their items. You’ll
have an option to buy the stuff of them for much cheaper which you can, later
on, sell yourself for a huge profit!
Cheats & Console Commands (Dev Console):
----------------------------------------
There are many older codes and players try to enter console in-game using Ctrl +`.
But there is no cheat menu yet. You can only use developer console. Follow the
steps below and activate the cheat mode (developer console).
Note: Steam achievements become disabled when you enable cheats in the launcher.
-=How to Enable Developer Console (Cheat Mode)=-
* Go to Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs
* Open "engine_config.txt"
* Look for "cheat_mode = 0" and change the value to "1"
Once you have complete steps above and activate developer console, you can use only
the following 8 commands after starting a new campaign.
Ctrl + Left Click – Teleports you to the selected location on the world map.
Ctrl + H – Fully heals you.
Ctrl + Shift + H – Fully heals your horse.
Ctrl + F4 – Knocks an enemy unconscious.
Ctrl + Shift + F4 – Knocks all enemies unconscious.
Ctrl + F2 – Knocks out one of your own soldiers.
Ctrl + F3 – Knocks out the player.
Ctrl + Shift + F3 – Knocks your horse unconscious.
You do not have to start a new story to use the cheats.
I’ve used cheated on my loads from before activating them and after without any
issues at all. (ty Robert)
from Geogie Further note on using cheatmode: You have complete access to all the items
in the world in an unlimited quantity. Once you activate it in the config file you can
load the game, then open your inventory. On the left side of it, where there are normally
pickup items or it’s simply empty, you will see all items the game has.
That means armor, weapons, goods, horses etc.
I sure many already noticed. It kinda spoils the game though, but it helps with the
money problem and also lots of quests (give me goods quests). Useful to compare
various armors, weapons and horses to see what is best.
P.S: game can be normally played, it shows only when you are not buying or picking
anything (after battle for example)
Ctrl + X
-Pressing the buttons in the inventory screen will provide you with 1,000 Thaler.
Ctrl + X
-Do the button combination on the character screen to receive 1,000 XP.
Ctrl + L
-You need to do the button combination on the character screen to level up faster.
Ctrl + W
-Performing the button combination on the character screen will increase the
proficiency of all the weapons at your disposal.
Ctrl + X
-Use the combination on the party screen in order to upgrade your selected units.
Ctrl + T
-You need to do the code on the map screen in order to reveal everything on the map.
Do note that the code won’t reveal hideouts.
Ctrl + LMB
-You can teleport your party by using the code on the map screen.
Ctrl + LMB
-This must be done during a battle to upgrade a unit.
Ctrl + H
-You need to perform the combination during a battle in order to restore your HP.
Ctrl + Shift + H

Ctrl + F6
-You can knock a single ally.
Ctrl + F9
-Use the combination to toggle slow motion on/off.
How to Get a Strong Army:
-------------------------
Written by Paladin
-=Game Basic Guide=-
This guide will tell you a bit about how to create the best army, unified and not
too many ‘Kinds’ of Troops this kind of army will fight better and can even destroy
larger armies than it if played right.
-=First of All Choose The Faction You Like the Most=-
The first thing you should do is decide what faction is good for you for example in
Khuzait its really easy to get alot of cavelry, though they are not the strongest.
Then you should go from village to village that belong to that faction and recruit
their troops. (I personally went for valandian army with a little of imperial
soldiers). Please take note that you should only get 2 factions in your army, or
it would get complicated while leveling them up and creating strategies in battles.
When you got a lot of recruits you can now start leveling them up
(killing looters,bandits, etc.)
-=Upgrading Troops / What Should the Army Compose Of=-
In my personal opinion i like my army to be made like this:
* 40% bowmen / crossbowmen.
* 40% Shielded infantry.
* 20% Cavalry (15% melee cavalry, 5%ranged).
You should base your troops on what kind of strategy you like I based it on shield
wall strategy where i put infantry infront in Shield Wall behind them are archers
in loose formation cavalry are sent when enemy is interacting with infantry to
break the enemy formation. And so i rain arrows while breaking their formation
and guarding the archers that are behind.
-=What to Do with Troops You Were Rewarded with ect.=-
If you got troops by killing bandits, raiding castles etc.
And you don’t want your army to be a mix of too many factions you can donate your
troops for influence!
Go to any friendly castle and donate the troops or even farmers to that castle
and it will get you tons of influence and that way you can keep your army organized.
Trading Tips to Early Game:
---------------------------
There is no market. The whole point is you move stuff from A to B and try to profit
off of local price fluctuations or regional shortages.
You can glance over the map and see that certain villages produce certain materials.
Every village is tradebound to a certain town, you can see which in a cursor tooltip,
the town has 3 workshops that turn materials into product, also town consumes some
materials, products and food.
Then it’s just pure economics, difference in supply vs demand creates price discrepancy,
travelling caravans smooth it down between towns.
Knowing towns and actual “average” price of every goods comes with experience, but for
now you can just hover your cursor over every type of goods and see “trade rumors” that
show if that type can be bought or sold somewhere else with a different price.
Leveling up your trade will open new hints and decrease trade penalty.
Right at the beginning prices are instable and they need some days to “normalize”
themself.
You could ask caravans you meet about prices and best deals they did.
Also in every tavern you could ask each normal citizen and some of them gives your
some hints, what to buy in this city and where to sell with a profit.
But I think the trade is not as good solved. I tried to play as a peacefull trader,
but come always to the situation with same pricing everywhere and you could gain XP
in trade only using weak-designed mechanics in the game.
-=Starting Patterns=-
There are some patterns at the start of the game.
For instance Amprela+Myzea offer good prices for raw silk that you could sell
literally everywhere. Tyal+Baltakhand offer good prices for wool and most food items.
Sturgia (and battanian Cat Banseth) has good offers on tools and fur, both sell well
with aserai.
But war can destroy these patters because villages get raided and towns and castles
captured making towns switch owners and tradebound villages.
-=Other Tips=-
Also the village quests, the Art of trade are great for bulk discount buying. Most
villages give you what they produce, grain so grain, horses horses, etc., or just
read the dialogue. Keep an eye out on towns right after they are defeated. You will
make a lot selling most food items.
Tools is another great item to carry around and sell or to use to complete the tool
quest in villages. Cheap hogs will give meat plus the hides when butchered. Hides
sell for over 400+ after some battles or usually 100 plus at times in some towns.
Buying from villagers on the way to towns is not that bad either. And Beer…. always
good.
Overall once you go around the map a few times you will start to notice which towns
lack a certain things, etc.
How to Remove Voice Acting:
---------------------------
Written by Vurrunna
If you’re anything like me, then you probably don’t like the addition of voice
acting to the official release of Bannerlord.
-=Foreword=-
Now I’m not here to disparage the voice actors or anything, but personally, I much
prefer to play Mount and Blade while imagining for myself what characters sound like,
rather than listening to the same collection of voice lines across multiple characters.
The problem is so bad, actually, that I straight up haven’t been able to play the
game, which is routinely infuriating when everything could be solved with a simple
“Voice Volume” slider.
Having had enough, and finding zero help online, I finally set my mind to start
rummaging through the game’s files and not stop until I found a fix. And, as fortune
would have it, the fix is as simple as deleting some files!
-=The Solution=-
First things first, you’re going to want to find you directory for Bannerlord.
For most people, this is going to be:
x:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord
If in doubt, you can always find the folder by going to Bannerlord in your Steam
Library, right-clicking its name in your Library list, and selecting Properties
-> Local Files -> Browse
From there, select the “Modules” folder. The first folder we’re going to edit is
under “SandBox.” The directory we’ll end up taking out of “Module” is:
SandBox -> ModuleData -> Languages -> VoicedLines -> EN -> PC.
Opening this folder, you’ll find a large array of voice files, along with their
associated lip-sync data. You’re going to want to delete everything in this folder.
(If you’re worried about damaging your files, you can backup this entire folder
before deleting it, though you can also restore everything by verifying your
game files through the Steam Library—there are plenty of guides explaining how
to do that.)
That’s half the work done, right there! Next, return to the “Modules” folder,
and instead of going through “SandBox,” go:
StoryMode -> ModuleData -> Languages -> VoicedLines -> EN -> PC.
Once again, delete all the files there, and you’re done!
This isn’t the most elegant solution, but it’s a solution, which is more than
I could ever find searching online. Hopefully, this information will prove
useful to other folks as well.
Relationship Points (How to Increase):
--------------------------------------
Written by virus
Hello everyone, this guid will show you how to increase your relationship
points with other heros in game without doing side quests.
soall you have to do is:
1.You have to know in which clan (he/she) in
(This will help you to find the clan Flefs)
For Example: Southern Empire(Pethros Clan) Flefs :Lycaron / Onira
2.Now take a walk around the town center
For Example : Lycaron
3.Find a thugs inside the town and fight them (when you find a thug (1) Press
F to Talk (2) Chose/ Having a look. Do you mind? (3)Chose/ I don’t take orders
from the likes of you.) after killing the thugs you will have this question,
(You’ve cleared some members of a gang off of a territory that they claim. Do
you want to stay here to make sure the others don’t try to take it back?
(Chose/Yes)
4.After waiting for sometime, you will talk with the guy who lead this thugs
(Chose/Go on i’m ready for more) then you will have another question,(The gang
starts to come at you, but slowly, so you still have time to back off, do you
wish to stand and confront them? Chose/Yes then Chose/ Attack) after winning
the last fight your relation will increase with all the clan members who
control the town (+2/+3)
Strategy Tips to Create the Kingdom:
------------------------------------
* Start as a vassal for faction A.
* Beat up faction B, and take their land for yourself.
* Declare independence and hire the, now landless, lords of faction B.
* Crush your enemies.
-=In Details=-
The “easiest” way is to be a vassal and rebel. Leave the Kingdom and keep your
fiefs. Your former faction will declare war on you, and you’ll take a pretty
hefty relation hit with all the clans. -40 with each clan I think. Before you
rebel, consolidate your power.
Get your fiefs built up and have good relations with other clans. Protect your b
orders, and let the rest of your faction wither away if you want since you’ll be
leaving them anyway. Once you declare your own kingdom, recruit clans to your side.
It can be pretty costly, but bring them to your side, maybe even give them your
fiefs so they have a base of power. Now you’ve got more clan parties to build armies
and fight back. Have an idea of what clans you want, because you’ll need to track
them down and recruit them.
Stay independent, and wait for cities to rebel. Swoop in and take them before
another faction does. You can do this as much as you want, although you don’t want
your territory spread out too much.
Wait for other factions to be weakened – but not eliminated – before you declare.
That will give you some good prospects for clans to recruit. For whatever reason,
you cannot recruit factionless clans, so you want to bring them to your side before
their faction is eliminated.
Have plenty of money in the bank, because you’ll be paying for your additional
clan parties as well as a sizeable garrison while you bring more clans to your side.
-=Bonus Tips=-
* Just pay off any faction that declares war on you, expect one, and focus on
that one.
* A small trick you can do:
* Before you declare independence, is to invite the clanleaders (as many as you can
handle) into an army and park it just outside you capital.
* Then declare independence.
* Capture them.
* Recruit the previously mentions landless lords (faction B).
* Proceed to dismantle faction A and hire their clans as you make them landless.
