The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire
Hints and Tips:
---------------
Submitted by: David K.
-= Campaign versus sandbox =-
Campaign still walks you through club ownership, missions, and city hooks in a short
story arc. Sandbox (especially after From the Streets) drops the main plot and lets
you pick custom starting conditions. Four sandbox roles: From Nothing, Thief, Dealer,
and Club Owner. Match the role to your early grind (club cash, street crime, or
dealing) before you sink money into warehouses or a family office.
-= Nightclub payroll loop =-
The club is your main cash engine while you run jobs or turf wars in the open
city. Dancers print the highest margin - keep two performers on the main stage
and staff every private lounge booth and private dance room you unlock. Hire both
guards when you can (cap is two). They break up fights, rep rival raids, and high
Vision catches dine-and-dash drunks before money walks out. Bartender Speed is the
main bottleneck; slow drink prep leaves waiters stuck at
the bar. Waiter Charisma uses 5 as neutral - below 5 tanks mood, above 5 lifts
it. Service on waiters and bartenders raises tip payouts.
-= Drink stock and Feature Vault =-
Patrons complain when the menu is too narrow. Each customer can ask for up to five
drink types based on star rating; stock toward fifteen total types across tiers. In
Feature Vault unlock Normal, Luxury, and Deluxe for each alcohol plus unique labels
(Raka, sake, XXX). Bottle shops sell a rotating daily catalog - visit both shops often
and buy missing types before busy nights.
-= Street hustles and skills =-
From the Streets lets you start as thief, dealer, or club owner and climb from zero.
Legal early fronts include taxi driver, hot dog vendor, and club bouncer; illegal
paths include pickpocketing, car theft, and drug production once unlocked. Skills such
as pickpocketing, lockpicking, trade, charisma, and crafting level through use, not
perk menus. Stolen cars can join your permanent garage; sell vehicles at the docks
after the relevant skill gate opens.
Rent a taxi for active fares, then buy your own cab - owned taxis can earn
passive daily income from the taxi company while you work elsewhere. Take efficient
routes; long detours hurt police reputation and some riders may rob you. Check the
daily newspaper for extra job listings beyond taxi and vendor loops.
-= Drug chain and warehouses =-
High Society added outdoor seed collection and small grow rooms in rented real estate
before you scale up. Rent, lease, or buy hotel rooms and apartments for temporary
production, safehouses, or staging when warehouse funds are still low. Upgrade owned
warehouses to unlock more rooms and production stations. Keep work
areas clean - dirty environments make employees sick and stall output. Link grow
ops, black-market sales, and street distribution into one loop instead of isolating
the club.
-= Office hub and territory wars =-
Rise of the Families adds a purchasable office as your crime-family HQ. Take local
jobs from the office board, recruit members, name the family, pick a logo, and promote
Capos. Add an Interrogation Room to question captured rival soldiers, demand ransom,
turn them, or eliminate them. Use the office map to review districts before you push
turf. Night City splits into eleven controllable districts. Rival families include the
Vice Kings (Pink Flamingo nightclub scene) and the Kurohana Syndicate (Samurai Toys
drug trade). Each defends businesses and sale points violently. Territory takeover
flow: seize every drug sale point and business in a district, then spend Prestige to
finalize the capture. Earn Prestige from office jobs and passive income while holding
turf. Clear a family's districts and eliminate its members to flush out the family
Boss for a final confrontation.
Diplomatic outs exist - complete jobs for another family or pay them off instead
of open war. Swap between top-down and third-person street view anytime; the minimap
can track rival faction members during hunts.
-= Police, arrests, and corruption =-
Police patrol in real time and escalate force with crime severity. When arrested you
can pay a fine, wait the sentence out, or perform community service to get free.
Killing an officer triggers heavier patrols and a shoot-on-sight wanted state that
fades only after you successfully evade pursuers. Persistent records from earlier
busts still shape later police contact per developer patch notes. Bribe corrupt police
and influence city officials such as the mayor to reduce raid pressure, or skip
payoffs and risk violent enforcement hits on clubs and warehouses. Extortion-style
protection of local shops also feeds income in the launch crime loop. Paying bribes
trades cash for lower raid frequency on clubs and warehouses when heat spikes;
skipping corruption leaves violent enforcement as the default response.
-= How to make money (cash) =-
Run the nightclub lean with fast bartenders, Charisma-safe waiters, Beauty-focused
dancers, and Vision-heavy guards to limit walkouts. Expand private lounges only when
you can staff stage, booths, and private dances at once. Rotate bottle-shop purchases
so all fifteen drink types stay available despite daily RNG. Stack street jobs (taxi,
vendor, bouncer) for seed capital before warehouse or drug chains pay off. Passive
taxi income from an owned cab funds black-market buys while you manage the club. Sell
stolen cars at the docks once lockpicking or theft progression opens the route.
Collect seeds, run a rented-room grow, then graduate to grow houses before warehouse
bulk production pays. Rent cheap apartments for short drug stints when you cannot
afford a full warehouse yet. Farm Prestige with office jobs while passive turf income
funds the next district capture spend. Shake down or protect local businesses for
steady support cash while club nights run.
Secrets:
--------
-= Club payroll and drink meta =-
Seamless mode swap means club payroll keeps ticking while you are on the street - plan
shifts before long turf missions. Feature Vault drink tiers are separate from base
bottle-shop stock; unlocking tiers is required to satisfy high-star VIP orders.
-= Police records and gear durability =-
Community-service sentences can trim heat but leave a record that changes later police
stops according to developer patch notes. Carry pistol, rifle, and melee
together after From the Streets - weapons lose durability and need crafting-table
repairs.
-= Vehicles and future business overhaul =-
Stolen cars used in races or shootouts can be customized and repaired; neglect repairs
and explosions can permanently destroy the ride. Developers announced a future
business overhaul (protection money, partner fees, guard assignments to
locations) - watch patch notes before planning long-term fronts.
Solutions:
----------
-= "They don't have my drink" complaints =-
Stock depth matters more than total bottle count. High-star guests pull from a wider
request pool than low-star regulars.
1. Open Feature Vault and unlock Normal, Luxury, and Deluxe for each alcohol type plus
unique spirits.
2. Stock toward fifteen distinct drink types (up to five requests per customer tier).
3. Check both bottle shops daily because inventory rotates and some labels vanish for
a day.
-= District takeover (short) =-
Prestige is the gate on formal captures - street wins alone are not enough.
1. Scout the target district from your office map and note rival sale points.
2. Capture each drug sale point and business in that district through street missions.
3. Bank enough Prestige from office jobs and held turf to pay the formal takeover
cost.
4. Repeat across a rival family's turf, then hunt surviving members to draw out the
Boss.
-= Compact route - Club Owner sandbox start =-
1. Pick Club Owner at sandbox creation and staff two stage dancers plus both guards on
opening night.
2. Unlock Feature Vault drink tiers before chasing high-star VIP complaints.
3. Rotate both bottle shops daily until fifteen drink types are stocked.
4. Stack taxi or vendor jobs for seed cash, then rent a grow room before buying a
warehouse.
5. Buy the family office once turf jobs unlock and bank Prestige for the first
district capture.
