Red Goddess: Inner World Cheats

Red Goddess: Inner World

Hints and Tips:
---------------
Submitted by: David K.

-= Use Each Form for Its Strengths =-
Use Divine for movement, interaction, fireball, telekinesis, and possession. Use Rage
against red enemies and Fear against blue enemies. Melee attacks with the wrong mask
deal much less damage, so switch forms instead of forcing the wrong color. In Act II,
Rage's special breaks marked red stones; Fear's special breaks matching blue stones.

-= A Hostile Inactive Mask Can Be Part of a Trap =-
The unselected mask follows Divine through the world, and certain traps can make the
other mask turn against you. If Rage or Fear suddenly becomes hostile after a trap,
treat it as a trap effect rather than assuming the encounter has glitched.

-= Move Telekinetic Platforms, Then Keep Moving =-
Some objects and platforms moved with telekinesis slowly return toward their original
position. Set the object first, then make the jump or use the shelter before it
drifts back. If a telekinetic object is part of a traversal puzzle, treat the
placement as temporary unless the room proves otherwise.

-= Turn Melee Combos Into Mana =-
Rage and Fear melee combos rebuild mana, while Divine's fireball and other powers
spend it. In mixed groups, fight as the matching mask first, then spend the recovered
mana on Divine's utility powers. Refill devices restore health and mana, and they
often appear near harder fights or platforming runs.

-= Possession Needs Two Mana Blocks =-
After possession unlocks in Act I, charge at least two mana blocks. Divine's fireball
can break certain cracked obstacles and also starts possession on normal enemies.
Move the captured enemy into a useful position, then detonate it. The explosion
damages nearby enemies. Detonate the possessed enemy among grouped targets when
possible.

-= Spend Early Gold on Health, Then Build Mana =-
Coins buy Health and Mana upgrades at the village shop. Health is especially useful
before the 15-crystal cave and its wolf boss in Act II. After that fight, additional
Mana becomes more valuable for special attacks and late movement powers. Do not rely
on Health to save you from spikes and similar late hazards; many platforming hazards
kill immediately.

-= Use the Map as a Crystal-Gate Checklist =-
Crystal shards open progression gates, and the map helps you decide where to
backtrack after a new power unlocks. There is no fast-travel system, so handle
backtracking while you are already near those routes. Enter houses and side rooms
while passing through settlements because coins are easy to miss on a later return
trip.

-= Backtrack Before Passing the First 33-Crystal Gate in Act III =-
The first gate in Act III that requires 33 crystals is close to the campaign's point
of no return. Before pushing much farther, revisit accessible rooms, collect useful
coins, and buy the upgrades you still want. Treat this gate as the last convenient
warning to finish backtracking.

-= Plan Late Platforming Before You Jump =-
By Act III, success depends on chaining the movement powers you already earned:
double jump, wall movement, air dash, and levitation. Late hover-and-dash sections
can consume mana while leaving almost no margin around spikes. Stop on safe ground,
identify the next landing point, and use only the movement needed for that segment
instead of correcting repeatedly in midair.

-= Use Uppercuts and Special Attacks on Large Enemies =-
Combine the uppercut with a special attack to reach high weak points on large
enemies. Against groups, bunch same-color targets together and use the matching
mask's special attack to knock down or clear several at once.

Solutions:
----------
-= Act I - Build the Core Ability Set =-
1. Follow the map markers and collect crystal shards needed for the next gate.
2. Recover Divine's fireball and telekinesis along the main route.
3. Unlock Rage, then Fear, and switch to the mask that matches the enemy's color.
4. Learn possession and practice it on a normal enemy once two mana blocks are
charged; the captured enemy can be detonated for area damage.
5. Recheck nearby blocked paths after gaining each new ability; not every old dead
   end stays closed.

-= Act II - The 15-Crystal Cave and Wolf Boss =-
1. After the rebel-camp invasion, the route to the chief's daughter leads to the cave
to the left of the Shaman. The entrance requires 15 crystals.
2. Before entering, buy as many Health upgrades as you can reasonably afford at the
village shop, then start putting spare gold into Mana.
3. At the boss, three red wolves and one blue wolf accompany the larger wolf. Clear
the three red wolves first and leave the blue wolf alive if possible.
4. With at least one small wolf alive, bait the boss's charge. Dodge it, move behind
the boss, and hit the crystal on its back during the opening.
5. If all small wolves die and the charge pattern stops, dodge behind the boss during
its normal attacks, then jump and uppercut to reach the back crystal.
6. After the fight, use the new Rage special attack on red stones with circular
markings. Soon afterward, Fear gains the matching special for blue stones.
7. Continue the platforming route until Divine gains the air dash near the end of the
   act.

-= Act III - The Descent =-
1. Use the first 33-crystal gate as the backtracking warning; backtrack before
pushing farther if you still want shop upgrades or missed coins.
2. Expect long platforming chains rather than combat-heavy rooms. Pause on safe
platforms and plan the full jump, dash, and wall-movement sequence.
3. When levitation unlocks, add it to the movement chain instead of replacing the air
dash. Keep enough mana for the next hover segment.
4. Treat spikes, lava, and similar hazards as instant-death boundaries. A larger
Health bar does not compensate for a missed landing.

-= Golem Fights - Wait for the Weak Point =-
1. Do not trade hits with a golem while it is protected.
2. Bait its heavy slam, then roll away from the impact.
3. Attack the exposed glowing weak point during the recovery window.
4. Repeat the dodge-and-punish cycle instead of staying underneath the boss.

-= Act IV - Final Boss =-
1. Climb the tower through the alternating platforming and combat rooms until you
   reach the final boss.
2. In phase one, clear the summoned enemies while dodging the patterned fireballs.
The boss cannot be damaged until a ground punch exposes a hand crystal.
3. When the red hand crystal is exposed, switch to Rage and use the special attack.
The crystal needs three special hits; you can add regular attacks between
   specials.
4. When spiders start appearing, keep the arena clear and repeat the process on the
blue hand crystal with Fear to reach phase two.
5. In phase two, prioritize spiders before wolves because eggs and projectiles
quickly crowd the arena. Regular melee hits rebuild mana.
6. Avoid the boss's ground slam, then dodge through the screen-wide swipes. After the
sequence, the boss rests and becomes vulnerable.
7. Unload damage during the rest window. If the boss recovers, clear the summoned
enemies, then repeat the slam-and-swipe cycle until the next opening.

Technical Issues:
-----------------
-= Use Keyboard if a Controller Is Not Detected =-
The Windows version supports controllers, but an Xbox controller may still fail to
respond. Keyboard play is supported. If your gamepad does not respond, switch to
keyboard controls rather than assuming a required action is unavailable.

-= Restart if a Door or NPC Stops the Script =-
If an important door refuses to open or a required character stops moving, the script
may have stalled rather than the route being wrong. Restart the game and retry the
trigger before spending time searching for a nonexistent switch or alternate path.

-= Lower Graphics Settings if Stutter Disrupts Platforming =-
On lower-end hardware, avoid the highest graphics settings. If frame rate drops make
late jumps inconsistent, reduce graphics before precision platforming instead of
trying to compensate for stutter with different jump timing.
