Rainbow Six: Siege Cheats

Rainbow Six: Siege
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Hints and Tips:
---------------
Submitted by: David K.

-= Win the information race =-
Treat every drone, camera, ping, sound cue, and destroyed gadget as part of one
shared information economy. Do not enter a room because it looked empty earlier.
Check it again, tell the next player what you found, and move while the information
is still fresh. A weaker gunfight with reliable information is safer than a blind
challenge with perfect aim.

-= Preserve the preparation drone =-
Use the preparation phase to identify the objective and defensive shape, then hide
the drone where it can watch a doorway, stairwell, or rotation. During the action
phase, move that drone one room ahead of the entry player. Scan only when the team
needs an exact location; an unnoticed camera usually provides more value than a
single early marker.

-= Build the attack around jobs =-
Before spawning, check whether the team has hard breach, anti-gadget support, soft
destruction, flank control, and reliable intel. One Operator may cover more than one
job, but an uncovered reinforced wall or unguarded stairwell can stop the entire
round. Change your pick when the lineup has five fraggers and no way to open or hold
the route.

-= Protect the hard breacher =-
Thermite and other hard breachers should not lead the first blind entry. Drone the
approach, remove Bandit, Mute, or other denial, and give the breacher cover while the
charge works. Open the wall that changes the objective first. Floors, hatches, and
secondary sightlines matter only after the main route is secure or clearly unusable.

-= Clear one layer ahead =-
Attack in short linked steps: drone the next room, move one player into the cleared
space, cover the trade, and then repeat. Do not leave the drone operator several
rooms behind while the entry player keeps moving. When contact begins, the nearest
teammate should be close enough to punish the defender rather than arriving after the
fight is over.

-= Use soft destruction to change the question =-
Sledge's Caber opens unreinforced walls, floors, barricades, and new firing lines.
Use it to attack a defender from above or below instead of repeating the same door
challenge. Before breaking a surface, confirm where teammates are and check for traps
or exposed angles on the other side. Destruction is useful only when someone can
watch the opening.

-= Convert map control into an objective play =-
Do not spend the whole round collecting empty rooms. Once the team controls a safe
entry, a breach, and the main flank, prepare the final push. Assign one player to
plant or secure the objective, one to cover the close denial angle, and the others to
hold rotations. After the plant, stop chasing defenders and force them to cross your
prepared lines.

-= Prepare defense in a fixed order =-
First protect the objective's critical exterior walls and hatches. Next create the
rotations and sightlines your team actually intends to use. Then place denial, traps,
shields, and cameras where teammates can act on them. Finish preparation in your
opening position. A perfect gadget setup has little value if its owner is trapped on
the wrong side of the site.

-= Never reinforce by habit =-
A wall inside the objective is not automatically meant to be reinforced. Check for a
planned rotation, a Mira window, a defensive line, or a teammate preparing vertical
control. When unsure, reinforce an obvious exterior route and leave the contested
interior wall alone until the team confirms the setup.

-= Roam with a route home =-
A roamer delays the attack and returns alive; a distant defender who dies without
information gives the attackers free map control. Choose an escape stair, hatch, or
rotation before taking the first fight. Pulse can track movement through surfaces,
but the sensor is valuable only when the information reaches teammates or creates a
safe ambush.

-= Keep working after death =-
When eliminated, move to surviving drones or defender cameras immediately. Watch the
flank that no living teammate can see, use concise location calls, and avoid repeated
hard pings that reveal a hidden camera. A dead player who tracks one rotation can win
the round without firing another shot.

-= Train one skill at a time =-
Use Field Training for low-pressure warm-up, Clear House for modernized map practice,
and Landmark Drill or the map directory to learn room names and routes. Enter each
session with one target: recoil, drone pathing, vertical destruction, or a specific
site setup. Repeating a measured task builds useful habits faster than playing random
matches without reviewing mistakes.

-= Understand Ranked 3.0 before queueing =-
Ranked 3.0 uses visible rank as skill, resets ranks each season, and requires five
placement matches. Matchmaking also considers squad size, time, and location. A squad
must remain within three ranks, reduced to two ranks for Diamond and Champion
players. Use Unranked to test roles and map plans before placement matches make every
result part of the calibration.

-= Use Calypso Casino's vertical routes =-
Calypso Casino offers rooftop crane access, a basement spawn for scaling the facade,
and expanded drone vents. Use the vents to verify defenders before committing to a
staircase, then pair rooftop or facade pressure with a basement threat. The map
rewards attacks that connect vertical information instead of forcing one doorway.

-= Treat Dual Front as two connected fights =-
Dual Front is a permanent 6v6 mode on District where Attackers and Defenders can
appear on the same team. Protect your own sectors while pressuring the enemy sectors,
and rotate through the Neutral Sector when the Assignment appears. Do not send all
six players toward one objective; a fast counterattack can erase progress elsewhere.

-= Check Y11S2.2 before copying an old loadout =-
Operation System Override changed several familiar choices. Dokkaebi's Jegeo Payload
now uses a fourteen-second per-target cooldown. Wamai gains faster MAG-NET charges
and a larger maximum stock. Jager is now three-speed and one-health, while Zofia has
three concussion and three impact rounds. Recheck equipment after every balance patch
instead of trusting an older operator guide.

Solutions:
----------
-= Compact route - First attacking round =-
1. Pick a spawn and identify the objective without sacrificing both drones.
2. Confirm hard breach, anti-gadget support, soft destruction, and flank control.
3. Hide one drone near the planned entry and move the other one room ahead.
4. Open the reinforced route before spending utility on secondary destruction.
5. Clear toward the site in linked pairs so every first contact can be traded.
6. Commit to the objective once the breach, entry room, and main flank are
   controlled.
7. After planting, hold the crossing routes instead of chasing the last defenders.

-= Compact route - First defending round =-
1. Identify the objective's critical exterior walls, hatches, and attack routes.
2. Create planned rotations before random reinforcements close the site.
3. Place denial and traps where defenders can hear, see, or punish the trigger.
4. Keep one anchor on the objective and give roamers a clear route back.
5. Use cameras after first contact to locate the real push instead of guessing.
6. Fall back before the attackers isolate you from the objective.
7. During the final execute, protect the plant denial angle and trade teammates.

-= Match review loop =-
1. Save or open the Match Replay while the round is still easy to remember.
2. Find the first point where your team lost reliable information.
3. Check whether the death came from aim, an unknown route, or missing utility.
4. Record one room name, one angle, and one counter for the next session.
5. Recreate that situation in Clear House, Field Training, or a Custom Game.
6. Repeat the same correction until it works in a live round.

Secrets:
--------
-= Shadow quality is a competitive setting, not just visual polish =-
Dropping Shadow Quality to its lowest option removes player shadows entirely, costing
an early warning that someone is about to peek a corner or window. Keep it at Medium
or higher instead. Reflections can stay low without a downside, and Ambient Occlusion
should be low or off since it darkens corners and hides movement rather than helping.
