Achievements for Atlas Completion:
----------------------------------
Written by Salty.

Helps people get the atlas achivements, the ones that requires you to complete all
the maps on the atlas!

-=Introduction
Just a simple guide to help you get the cartographers achievements in POE.
I have seen people on reddit and myself not get the achivement for completing all the
maps on the respective tier, yet I have for sure done all the white and yellow maps already.
The most important thing to keep in mind while hunting these achivements is that shaped
maps will mess up the achivement. As of 3.0 , if you shape a map , it will no longer
count for its original tier, thus make it impossible for you to obtain the achivement.
If you have shaped a map, just get the unshaping orb from the vendor recipe of 20 chisels
and 5 regrets, and use on the shaped map and complete it like normal. If you would like
to shape it again after you get the achievement, just do the bonus objective again.

-=White Maps (Tier 1-5)
Very straight forward, all these maps are easy to obtain, whether getting them as drops,
or buying them from other players. Just complete them all and make sure to not shape any
of them before you complete all the white tier maps or else the achivement wont count.

-=Yellow Maps (Tier 6-10)
Also fairly straight forward, most of these will drop naturally, but may require some
to be purchased from other players.
Again dont shape any of them mid tier maps until you get the completion achivement.

-=Red Maps (Tier 11-16)
The highest tiers of maps, the red maps, now these will be much harder to complete
fully due to the rarity of the red maps dropping.

Some of these will be rather hard to obtain if they have a particularly hard or
unpleasant layout (cough maze scriptorium).

On a side note, if your build isnt that great, remeber that the achivements need you
to complete the map, meaning to you can finish the map at normal rarity and it would
still count. You dont need to alch and vaal the map for it to count towards this
achivement. How ever if you want it to count towards the atlas bonus in game, you
will need to alch and vaal the map.

Stash Tab Explained!:
---------------------
Writen by Canis dingo

I always hear people ask which stash tabs they should get first.

-=What does each tab do?=-
Currency: Stores currency, and has a central large slot for holding an item. I personally
use this to store something I am crafting. There’s a bunch of small slots down at the
bottom to store prophecies and other stuff as well.

Unique: Store ONE of each unique item.

Essence: Stores all the essences used for crafting, has a large slot in the center.

Maps: Stores maps, plain and simple. Makes it super easy to run maps of specific zones/tiers.

Cards: Stores divination cards, can be set to only show full stacks.

Fragments: Stores various boss key fragments, emblems, and splinters.
Also has pages for Scarabs and Breachstones.

Delve: Stores Fossils and Resonators. Has 2 large slots.

Blight: Stores Oils and Blighted Maps. Has one large slot, and can be used to anoint items
in said slot.

Metamorph: Stores Organs and Catalysts. Has one large slot.

Delirium: Stores Deli Orbs and Simulacrum stuff. Has 4 small misc slots.

Quad: One tab that has 4 times the amount of storage as normal stash tabs.
(Stuff will appear smaller)

Premium: Can be renamed and recolored. Can be set to be visible to public.

-=Which ones should I get?=-
Straight out the gate, I would suggest buying at least one premium t
ab if you’re in Trade.
You can use this to have items listed while running maps and stuff. Much easier than spamming
chat to sell items.

After that, I’d recommend a Map tab. It will just make your life SO much easier. Set the
affinity in it, and you can just ctrl click every map in your inventory to dump them all,
and have them be Auto sorted.

Currency tab next. Again: just makes your life easy. No longer have to sift through your tabs
looking for stray Chaos orbs.

After those, snag a quad tab. Just dump EVERYTHING into it. Minimize your time spent in
hideout, and sort through it at the end.

At this point you will want to upgrade a few more normal tabs into premiums. You can set each
one to a different price and just fill em up with stuff, instead of having to individually
price items.

This is where I’d recommend getting the Div Card, Fragment, and Essence tabs. No specific order,
just whichever you notice taking up a lot of space.

From here on it’s more or less up to you. If you do a lot of delving, and think the Delve tab
would facilitate faster/easier sorting, go for it. Same can be applied to Blight, Meta, and Deli.

If you haven’t already, upgrade the rest of your normal stash tabs.

I would only suggest getting the unique tab if you want to keep every single unique you find.
There’s no real use for it, since most uniques aren’t worth much.

If you decide at this point to buy more tabs, more power to you. Healthy mix of dump tabs, and
premiums. At the time of writing this guide, I have 4 Dump tabs, and a folder with 6 tabs in
it for potential builds.

-=Summary=-
Buy whatever tabs you want, tbh. In whatever order you want. There is no “best” answer. I
recommended what personally worked for me, but if you just want 45 quad tabs, go for it.
Similarly, if you’re okay with the standard starting tabs, perfect. It’s your money, use it
when you need it.

Stash tabs go on sale often, and the main advice I would give is to wait until they are on
sale. They are really nice to have, but you don’t need them to enjoy the game.

Fast Levelling Guide (1-100 Lvl):
---------------------------------
Written by LostWorld

Simple tips to level up fast for every level range.
Also including general tips.

-=From Level 1 – 30
* Kill only blue and massive packs while looting everything and selling
what you don’t need so you can buy better gear.
* Rush through story by skipping all side quests except quicksilver flask
quest that way you save tens of hours.
* Never stop running, kill everything in your way by rushing fast don’t stop
  just keep moving.
* Movement speed is the most important aspect to XP fast.

-=From Level 30 – 60
* That’s when you got to start being careful by using a more useful build
  depending on your class.
* You have to be careful with who you kill now, if you have a strong build you
can kill any decent pack in 1 to 3 shots and if you couldn’t do that just keep
running and farm as much XP as you can.
* If you ever feel low in power you can just go back and farm passive points
which would boost your power much more.
* Always try to stay a couple levels under the zone level in 1-60. If you need
to grind XP do it in the highest possible of one of the following zones:
ledge, riverways, city of sarn, docks, dried lake.
* Movement speed is the most important aspect to XP fast.

-=From Level 60 – 75
* This is where it get’s easier since the dried lake opens up, you instantly
start farming in dried lake which will boost your XP a lot and easily.
* Except on day 1 in a new league where you get stuck if you don’t immediately
  start building a map pool.
* The Dried Lake is an area in Act 4. It has no waypoint and is connected to
Highgate. It is the first area players will enter after reaching Highgate in
order to kill Voll, Emperor of Purity. Upon entering for the first time, the
player’s character will make a comment on it.
* Movement speed is the most important aspect to XP fast.

-=From Level 75 – 90
* Straight forward and fastest way.
* Map anything.
* Running your highest non-red map you can afford to roll.
* Movement speed is the most important aspect to XP fast.

-=From Level 90 – 100
* First, try to build a high map pool and farm mad currency.
* Second, Buy t12-14s constantly and run them non-stop. If you have a very
fast clearing setup (e.g. bower + support) you will get similar XP in gorge,
canyon (yes, a 75 map is competitive in XP with an 80 map even at level 99,
just because you kill so much at once), arid lake and plateau.
* This stage costs a lot of currency and you will pull your hairs out if you
  ever end up dying.
* This is where all the stuff that you farmed and don’t use get sold and used here.
* Movement speed is the most important aspect to XP fast.

-=General Tips=-
* Going through the content quickly is a result of a lot of little things
done to maximize your efficiency, including:
* Streamlining the quests so that all unnecessary content is skipped until
  later
* Streamlining pathing through all mandatory zones and knowing the layouts
and all fixed positions (waypoints, zone exits etc) so that you never backtrack
* Optimizing skill and gear choices to be able to 1-shot white packs, 2-3 shot
magic packs and quickly kill bosses
* Having bosses killed by a higher level character.
* Spending minimum amounts of time in towns/hideout looking at items, skills,
your skill tree, talking to NPCs etc. Having a planned out skill tree that
you can just follow 1 point at a time really speeds things up. Knowing when
you can get certain skill gems and supports and when to equip them is crucial.
* Knowing how to make sure your resistances, attributes, mana management and
HP pool are sufficient for your items and the zones you are in is crucial.
* Even skipping over loot that won’t be able to help you saves seconds each
time which add up to a significant amount of time saved in the end (15-45
minutes). If you can’t sell it (uniques, quality gems etc), and it won’t
be an upgrade for your character, leave it behind!
* Playing in a group.

Beginners Guide:
----------------
Written by crow.rhakshae

This is a loose walkthrough on how to build your way through POE. Game is not
for everyone, constantly asking questions from global will get you trolled hard
AF. Well, on that happy note, lets get started.

-=Character Selection=-
If you follow a build guide, then you can skip this section because your guide
will dictate a character based on the needs of the build. If you’re just gonna
wing it, might be some helpful info here. Every character has needs that cannot
be ignored, damage and defense. Every class has it’s own seperate brand of either,
with some generally available options throughout the tree. Not every option works
as well, not every option available to the same extent from every class, so here
is a compass to help you decide;

* Witch (Intelligence, energy shield, curses, minions and spell dam.) Due north.
* Shadow (Intelligence/Dexterity, Energy shield/evade crit, attack/spell trap/mine
  dam, daggers/claws and ailments) Northeast.
* Ranger (Evade, bow, projectile, Evade/suppress ailments and potions) Southeast.
* Duelist (Armour/Evade, Attacks, dual wielding, 1h+shield, ailments) South.
* Marauder (Armour 2h, 1h+shield, fire damage, rage, fortification) Southwest.
* Templar (Armour/Energy shield, elemental attack/spell damage staff and mace
  damage) Northwest.
* Sion (Unlocked in gameplay, has access to all of the above, because is dead
center in tree. 10 skill point buffer zone to reach close to the start of any
  other class though.).

Now, a marauder can throw fireballs, a duelist can use wand attacks, and a witch
can cyclone her way through some pretty nasty situations, the only limitations
on what any char can attack/defend with are you, and RNG. That said, simpler is
better for initial runs.

Ascendancies are another form of specialization, allowing a good build to far
exceed it’s normal efficacy or a bad build to squeak as passable. I recommend
looking at the available ascendancies for whatever exile you pick before moving
on with using it. Or just pick what looks cool, and deal with more issues later,
up to you.

-=Leveling and Beginning Your Journey=-
So, on to methods. The game will give you a 2link weapon, and 2 gems to put in
it as part of the initial tutorial. Sockets connect support gems to active gems
to give you a skill, sockets can link up to 5 supports to an active skill gem.
A 4link, or 1 active with 3 supports is all thats necessary to beat story.
You’ll have learn how to move, how to dodge if your char isn’t a nascent God-
tank, and how each boss attacks to make this simple.

Different skills level on different scales of difficulty, and the most common
flag is on the gem itself; “Effectiveness of added damage” is one of the most
important things to pay attention to, though your build may switch to more
entertaining skills later, a high effectiveness means it uses all damage
modifiers to a greater extent. The spell skill freezing pulse, is fully capable
of blasting through story and leveling you through the game to a reasonable
level. Additional skills, like wintertide brand, lightning trap, armageddon
brand, and arc make it somewhat simple to beat the story. Knowing how to modify
these skills is key, as each separate skill has it’s own buff tags, effectiveness
of added damage and playstyle

If a skill has ‘Spell, Fire, Duration’ as it’s tags, then damage over time
universal and fire DOT modifiers as well as spell and fire damage will modify
its interactions. It is important to read skill and support gems, to have a
decent understanding of how they interact.

My method for building a lvling skill is this: Find a skill with good
effectiveness of added damage, allow 1 quality of life gem, or 3 damage gems.
At the start of the games most gems do not have good supports available, so
you have to stick to ‘increased’ damage, as you get to later acts, you want
not ‘increased’ damage supports on your 4 link leveling skill, you just want
‘more’ damage gems.

To explain this,100 damage+10% increased is 110 dam. increased multiplies
base damage, creating a total. More multiplies this total, so 110+10% MORE
becomes 121 dam. I take increased from skill tree, its abundant there, and
more from gems as much as possible, with 1 quality of life modification maximum.

Now that damage is accomplished, quick note here… Asking for leveling without
beating story is bad. You don’t have the defense, or attack necessary to
survive actual leveling, so I recommend using the best leveling device in the
entire game; The story.

No death is meaningless, if you can’t kill a boss and beg for help in global,
the worst outcome will happen. The worst outcome is that someone helps you kill
the boss, and you are less than 10% prepped to fight the next boss. Taking
10 minutes to upgrade your gear, work on elemental resistance and possibly
running a couple of the last area you were in to level can get you past the
boss. These things are necessary anyway, and you will have to do them to advance.

Story is decently cut and dried, they provide all the necessary pointers and
quest objectives. This guide is for building a character, so I’m going to not
list how to run the entire story.

-=Defence=-
At the start of the game, a couple skill points of max life and a quick bottle
finger is all you need to survive. As you move forward the needs expand at a
malicious rate. Elemental resistance is the most important part, though recent
changes to the game seem to have amplified incoming phys as well. 75% ele res
is not hard for seasoned players to accomplish, but can be really difficult for
new players, so a quick guide.

* Identify everything. Every rare item that hits the ground is a chance at upgrading
your gear. Sockets are most important, if it’s your skill gear, resistance next
and base defence last. So a pair of gloves that gives you 800 armour, but that
drop your fire res to 50% are worthless, even if the gloves you are wearing give
only 20 armour and are ilvl 32.

* Essences are creatures encased in glass, that if you free them generally put
up a pretty hard fight and drop a specialized form of chaos orbs, called essences.
An essence random rolls a piece of gear and promises 1 mod outcome, guaranteed ele
res is actually pretty simple like this, cuz you can pick up a white item, essence
it 1 time and get your res capped. these are for acts like 6 to 10 though, not
always available in the start

* Trade chat/website… Yep, exactly that. basic currency items can often be traded
for decent low ILVL gear that can come in handy. Make sure you don’t get lost in
trade, because after 20min of searching, if not lvl 80 and polishing and minmaxing
an almost complete build, 20 min of gameplay would definitely have gotten you better
gear.

I know this guide is a chip off the tip of the iceberg, but this is everything I’ve
seen new players have trouble with. Almost every boss has unique patterns and stats,
learn these and you can ace the boss with a crap build. Don’t care to? Then your
build is gonna need to walk on water while frying bacon on a crystal ball.

Beginners Tips:
---------------
-=General=-
* You can clear the campaign with crap gear.
* You don’t need to pick up everything.
* Your first ever build will probably brick at maps. It’s fine.
* You can skip all league mechanics.
* You won’t need extra stash tabs right away.
* It’s possible to have fun playing, despite what the eternal cranks and trolls
  insist.

-=Basics=-
* Dont worry too much about Crucible at the start, focus on the normal gameplay
as Crucible can be pretty tough at low levels.
* Look up an item filter to kind of clear up some of the clutter you dont need
on the ground, there are some preset ones that make it a bit easier.
* You can also look up a build to learn what type of path to take on the crazy
tree that you can put points into, could also take some time to just look at
that to kind of plan a path you might want to take. As you get further in the
game it will make more sense and what type of path you want to take on it, sadly
there are not always enough respec points.
* You can purchase skill gems from Nessa shortly after start and selling weapons
of different types/gem colors/and links will give you different and special
currency. All currency also has a use outside of just being currency.
