-= Save Before the Story Commits =-
Osozaki is a branching visual novel with three main character routes and five endings
in total. Choices can redirect the story well before the final scene, so keep
separate saves before major decisions instead of relying on one rolling save.
Make each route save before the choice screen appears. Replaying shared material is
slower than in many newer visual novels, and a clean branch save is the fastest way
to recover from a wrong decision.
* Keep one untouched early save before the first two decisions.
* Keep another save before the coffee-scene decision involving Velvet.
* Keep a separate Yekaterina save before the cooking sequence and later invite.
-= Five Endings, Three Main Routes =-
The main routes are Alannah, Velvet, and Yekaterina. The other ending outcomes do not
create two additional heroine routes. Use the exact sequences below when you want
each main character ending without trial-and-error.
-= Replay Tools Reduce Repeated Reading =-
Right-click hides the text box. The updated game also has a Backlog button, a
skippable opening, and skip prompts for the Carmilla and Lovecraft stories after you
have read those scenes once.
Clicking or pressing Space speeds up text display. A scrolling scene video can also
be clicked to skip it. These shortcuts help on later runs, but branch saves still
remove much more repeated reading.

-= Alannah Main Route =-
1. At the coffee scene, choose "I won't help you."
2. Choose "Leave Yekaterina out of this."
3. Choose "Go with Alannah."
-= Velvet Main Route =-
1. At the coffee scene, choose "I will help you."
2. Choose "Leave Yekaterina out of this."
3. Choose "Go with Velvet."
-= Yekaterina Main Route =-
1. On the first decision, choose "Someone who represents a challenge."
2. On the second decision, choose "It would be fun!"
3. During the cooking sequence, choose the ingredients in this order:
Tabasco -> Pepper -> Wasabi
4. At the coffee scene, choose "I won't help you."
5. Choose "Invite Yekaterina."
6. Choose "Knock on the door."
7. Choose "Stay with Yekaterina."
The cooking choices are the Yekaterina route password. Keep the order exactly as
shown: Tabasco, then Pepper, then Wasabi.
-= Wrong Ending or Missed Route =-
1. Reload the last save from before the first missed requirement.
2. For Alannah or Velvet, recheck the coffee decision, whether Yekaterina was
left out, and which character you chose to go with.
3. For Yekaterina, recheck both opening decisions and the cooking order before
changing any later choice.
Replay and Controls:

-= Backlog, Text Box, and Scene Skips =-
* Right-click to hide the text box.
* Use the Backlog button to reread dialogue you advanced past.
* Skip the opening on repeat runs instead of watching it again.
* After reading the Carmilla or Lovecraft story once, use the offered skip on later
runs.
* Click or press Space to accelerate text display.
* Click a scrolling scene video when you want to skip that video.
-= Route Saves and QuickSave =-
Use normal saves for route branches and reserve QuickSave for short-term protection
while reading. A route checkpoint is more valuable than a recent QuickSave if you
discover several scenes later that an earlier decision locked you out.
Technical Issues:

-= Back Up Steam Saves =-
Steam Cloud is configured to synchronize "*.sav" files from the game installation
directory. Exit the game before copying or restoring them.
* Save location:
[Steam Library]\steamapps\common\Osozaki Late Blooming - First\*.sav
Before route cleanup, beta testing, or script edits, copy the "*.sav" files to a
folder outside the Steam library. Restore them only while the game is closed.
-= Legacy Beta Fallback =-
Steam still exposes an older beta branch. Use it only when the public build has a
reproducible problem; the beta is a fallback, not an upgrade.
1. Exit the game and back up the "*.sav" files.
2. Open Steam Library -> Osozaki -> Properties -> Betas.
3. Enter the private-beta access code:
ihatepayingtaxes
4. Select the beta branch if Steam makes it available.
5. Let Steam replace the game files, then retest the problem.
6. Set Beta Participation back to "None" to restore the public branch.
-= Optional Fast-Skip Script Edit =-
For replay only, the English script can be modified to start TyranoBuilder's skip
mode automatically. This is an unofficial file edit. Back up the script first, and
restore it if the story flow behaves incorrectly.
1. Exit the game.
2. Open the game installation folder from Steam.
3. Back up this file:
data\scenario\Ch1En.ks
4. Open the original file in a plain-text editor.
5. Find the early post-name block containing this tag:
[delay speed="25" ]
6. Add this line immediately above that tag:
[skipstart]
7. Save the file and start the English story.
Skip mode begins when the script reaches that point and saving can cancel it. Avoid
this edit on a first read because text advances much faster.
To undo the edit, restore the backed-up script. Steam file verification also restores
modified game files but may replace other local changes.
