-= Core loop =-
* Each run sends ricocheting balls through a pit of enemies; between dives you expand
the homestead, gather wheat, wood, stone, and gold, and unlock heroes.
* You start as The Warrior with one bleed ball; other characters change shooting
style, ball slots, and whether you pick upgrades manually.
* Press Tab on PC to highlight buildings that can be upgraded at the base.
-= Unlock characters =-
* Every hero unlocks the same way: find a building Blueprint during a run, place the
structure at base, then bounce workers off it until construction finishes.
* Blueprints drop after bosses and rarely from normal kills; the stage select screen
shows how many remain in that biome.
* Grab Blueprints before the screen scrolls past them or you must wait for a respawn.
* Character Blueprints are labeled Unlocks a new character; 15 of 16 heroes need this
(The Warrior is default).
-= Fusion and evolution =-
* Special balls start at level 1 and cap at level 3. Level them through duplicate
picks on level-up or Fusion Reactor drops (minibosses always drop one).
* Fusion merges any two level-3 balls into one slot with both effects; fused balls
cannot evolve or fuse again.
* Evolution needs a specific level-3 pair and creates a new ball type (Bomb from Burn
plus Iron is a strong early pick). Evolved balls reset to level 1 but hit much
harder.
* A Fusion Reactor pickup offers Fission (random upgrades or gold), Fusion, or
Evolution when you meet the requirements.
-= Base building =-
* Build the Evolution Chamber early; without it you cannot evolve balls mid-run.
* Bag Maker and similar structures raise your special-ball slot cap above the default
three (up to five with upgrades).
* Cluster buildings tightly so harvest bounces hit multiple structures per trip.
* Upgrade existing mines and farms before spamming new level-1 copies; level 2 payouts
beat fresh level 1 plots.
-= Combat tips =-
* Aim for crowd-control and AoE evolutions (Bomb, Magma, Blizzard) once the chamber is
online; they scale better than hoarding basic balls.
* Some characters automate picks (The Cogitator, The Radical); others reward manual
fusion planning (The Repentant bounce damage, Shieldbearer shield buffs).
* Retry after a failed run no longer wipes resources you already banked from that
attempt, but returning to base between runs still funds long-term upgrades.
