Navigate to the root folder of the game, then goto /data/config make a backup of 
the "config.cfg". Edit the "cfg" with notepad or notepad++ you will see diffrent 
lines like g_maxSpeed "24.000" g_gravity "-0.5000", g_frictionRoughWood "0.9900" 
and meany other things that can be modified like "wall splat speed" (can disable 
weaken or strenthen the speed which goofy needs to slam against wall). 
For example this is a basic modification sligtly reducing friction upping the 
splat speed lowring gravity by a tad and speed upped a tad.

If you messup and make too big a change can restore from the backup or find if delete
the line entirly the game will restore that line to defaults on next launch (might 
need adminastrative run). im surprised this hasent been posted anywhere, expecialy 
seeing some copys of the game you get from the net today by default disable the 
walsplat.
